Deloitte is a leading professional services firm with global operations in over 140 countries. The Deloitte Japanese Services Group (JSG) is a specialised group comprising of over 400 employees dedicated to serving our Japanese multi-national organisations

Deloitte JSG’s professional services and coordination work is not confined to audit and tax compliance.  Our services also include corporate finance, enterprise risk, international tax and consulting.  In addition, we provide advice and information to our Japanese clients through seminars and publications delivered in Japanese and are continuously endeavouring to provide the best service to our Japanese client companies.

What will I do?

JSG is a virtual group, and you will work in a service line of your choice (assurance & advisory, tax, consulting and so on) depending on your interest.  As part of your activities within your service line, you will be assigned on engagements to serve some Japanese clients, in additional to having some non-Japanese clients in your portfolio. You will receive the same training as your peer group within your service line.

Outside of your service line, you will assist in activities of the JSG, such as preparation of Japanese language publications and seminars.  Your exposure to Japanese business co-ordination work will increase based on your level of experience, especially at the manager and director level at Deloitte. You will also have an opportunity to be seconded to Deloitte Japan or other countries with JSG’s as part of your training.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for highly motivated and talented individuals with excellent English and Japanese language skills. It is advantageous if you have a good understanding of Japanese business etiquette and culture, however it is not mandatory at the graduate level as these skills can be obtained as you serve Japanese clients.

JSG は色々な専門性を有するメンバーで構成されるバーチャルなグループです。JSG のメンバーはそれぞれの希望する部門(監査、税務、コンサルティングなど)に配置され、その部門において業務に携わっていただきます。各部門内の業務の一部として、日系企業やそれ以外のクライアントの仕事が割り当てられます。JSG のメンバーであっても自分の帰属する部門の同僚と同じトレーニングを受けて、それぞれの担当分野に関する専門知識を修得していただくことになります。

所属部門での活動に加えて、JSGメンバーは日本語の発行物やセミナーの準備等のJSG 関連業務に携わっていただきます。マネージャーやディレクター･レベルに昇格してゆくと、日系ビジネスのコーディネーション業務に関わる割合が増加していくことになります。またトレーニングの一環として、希望する場合にはJSGから日本やその他の国へ派遣される機会もあります。
 

我々は高いモチベーションと才能、英語と日本語の語学能力を兼ね備え、会計もしくは法律を大学で専攻された方を募集しています。日本のビジネスエチケットや商習慣などを理解していることはアドバンテージではありますが、これらのスキルは日系クライアントの仕事を通じて習得されますので、新入社員レベルでは必ずしも必要ではありません。
