About selection
Who are we looking for? Which core competencies do we use to assess candidates?
We are looking for talented students with strong academic performance, integrity, good soft skills, self-motivation, an eagerness to learn and commitment to our profession. We will assess you as a whole and focus more on your analytical and presentation skills, teamwork spirit, adaptability, stress tolerance and leadership potential to help you find your fit at Deloitte. All of these elements will be assessed during our recruitment process.
About applicant eligibility
Who can apply to Deloitte China's 2013 graduate job opportunities?
Any citizen of China (including Mainland, Hong Kong and Macau), who will be graduating in Year 2012 or 2013, is welcome to apply.
About the application update dates
1. When is the cut-off date?
Our graduate online application is accessible from September 1st to October 30th 2011, but the cut-off date may vary by city. Normally, we close the online application approximately two weeks after each city’s final career forum. All Consulting Job postings will be closed by October 23rd 2012.
2. Can I apply twice?
An applicant can only apply once per recruitment cycle during Deloitte China’s campus recruitment programs (internships included). The recruitment cycle runs from September 1st 2012 to August 31st 2013.
About work location
Which city can I choose to apply as my work location?
Deloitte China has 16 offices in China including Beijing, Chongqing, Dalian, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Harbin, Hong Kong, Jinan, Macau, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Tianjin, Wuhan and Xiamen.
You can choose to apply to one of the above 16 locations as long as the location has job openings available. All 16 offices follow the same recruitment process.
About job openings and preferred work locations
In the online application, you will be asked to choose your preferred location. Once your choice is made, your preference will be recorded and set for the rest of your application. Please choose only one location of interest, and carefully consider where you and your skills/qualifications will fit best. In most cases, you will not be considered for multiple functions or multiple locations.
About the interview city
If I am not currently located in the city that I chose as my preferred work location, where will I take the written tests and interviews, given the opportunity?
If the city you apply for and your current location happen to both be on the Mainland, we will try to arrange for you to join the sessions as close to your current location as possible, if availability allows.
If you apply for Hong Kong / Macau job opportunities, you will then have to follow their local recruitment process and timeline.

About the Ability Tests
What is the Ability Test?
Shortlisted candidates who have passed CV screening will be invited to take ability tests as part of the recruitment process.
Since 2011, the three business functions of Deloitte China including Audit, Enterprise Risk Services (ERS) and Tax have adopted both a Verbal Reasoning Ability Test and Numerical Reasoning Ability Test in their campus recruitment selections.
Verbal Reasoning Ability Test
The Verbal Reasoning Ability Test evaluates the candidate’s ability in understanding the logic of various arguments in written format. Qualified candidates are expected to quickly and easily assimilate complex written information and draw accurate conclusions.
Numerical Reasoning Ability Test
The Numerical Reasoning Ability Test measures the ability to make correct decisions or inferences from numerical data. The tested ability is highly relevant to a range of professional jobs involving data analysis.
Additional Tests for Consulting and FAS applicants
If you apply to Consulting and Financial Advisory Services (FAS), you are required to do additional tests – Logical Reasoning and Work Strength.
The Logical Reasoning Test evaluates the candidate’s ability to make logical references from information and reach appropriate conclusions - an important skill for solving complex problems at work.
The Work Strength Test evaluates the candidate’s working style (i.e., the preferred way to carry out tasks and work with others).
