Saulius Bakas

Saulius Bakas is an Office Managing Partner of Deloitte Lithuania. Previously (2006-2012) he acted as an Audit Partner in Kiev office. Starting June 2006 Saulius took an in-charge role of Deloitte CIS West Region (Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia) Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) practice. In July 2008 Saulius was promoted to partner with Deloitte CIS firm. Before moving to Ukraine, Saulius was working in San Jose, California, where he was serving high tech companies based in the Silicon Valley. He gained considerable experience in IFRS and US GAAP, SEC accounting and reporting, internal controls attestation, corporate governance, IPO services and various technical and business issues.
Saulius is an active member of technology and telecoms community within Ukraine and globally. Head of TMT industry group responsibilities included building industry knowledge, brand and eminence of Deloitte organization. Saulius was actively presenting Deloitte research and thought leadership publications at various industry events.
Saulius gained a Master of Economics degree in Vilnius University, Lithuania, and currently he is an active member of the ACCA as well as AICPA (California CPA).
