The Deloitte Pathway Programme

For students opting to study on a full time basis, sponsored by Deloitte.*

What is the Deloitte Pathway?

The programme is a commitment that Deloitte makes with you during your time at the University of Malta (typically from second year onwards). We provide you with structured work experience and financial support, followed by full time employment on successful completion of your studies.

This programme is aimed primarily at students reading for a degree in the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy (FEMA) and who are majoring in Accountancy.

Deloitte also offers programmes to Law students with an interest in taxation. We also offer the necessary support during your studies. This ensures that you will be able to chart your career as required and with a dynamic organisation, such as Deloitte, which fosters professional development and career advancement.

Extensive support from Deloitte

On signing an agreement with Deloitte, you will benefit from:

  • Receipt of financial assistance during your study period;
  • Allocation of a professional to support and guide you through any challenges that you may face and to provide a point of contact for any technical assistance;
  • Relevant, remunerated work experience at Deloitte on an annual basis, commencing from the summer after completing your second year of University;
  • Time to dedicate to your thesis during the summer of fourth year;
  • The possibility to receive a cash prize if you obtain an overall Pass with Distinction in your Master in Accountancy;
  • Eligibility for selection for short term secondments in Deloitte firms overseas through the Deloitte Global Internship programme; and
  • Eligibility to participate in any relevant training sessions delivered internally to Deloitte staff throughout the year.

As a member of Deloitte’s student network you will also be able to interact via websites and social media, giving you access to information about technical matters, industry specific data, as well as social events and other relevant information.
