Corporate social responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility
At Deloitte, we are committed to being good corporate citizens and we take our responsibility to the planet and local communities seriously. We believe passionately in the need to invest in the communities in which we work and live. Each year, we identify where our skills, expertise and financial contribution can have the greatest impact, and ways in which we can effectively engage our people.
Our staff and partners came together to donate tens of thousands of dollars to worthy causes within the Southeast Asia region and beyond. Besides our own local charitable causes, the SEA practices also stepped up to support our Asia Pacific neighbours in their times of crisis, with substantial donations to the New Zealand earthquake relief fund and the Japan earthquake/tsunami that devastated many lives.
But it’s not just about money, we also donate our time, expertise and the support of our people to a number of worthy causes.
IMPACT Day
In October 2012, for the first time, our 7 country practices of Deloitte Southeast Asia came together to celebrate IMPACT Day together. IMPACT Day is the day when Deloitte staff and partners around the world put down their work and go get involved in the communities and changing the lives of people in need. This year’s theme was “Education & Youth.”
In Singapore, we partnered with North Light School to take their children out for two fun-filled learning trips to Universal Studios and Gardens by the Bay.

Hear what our people have to say about IMPACT Day
"It was great to see the smiles of the students at the end of the day. The time that I had to give up to attend IMPACT Day is insignificant compared to the sense of satisfaction I received."
~ Ng Khay Wee, Audit Senior
"I enjoyed interacting with the students and had some engaging conversations with them. There was a lot of energy in the air and an atmosphere of camaraderie. I look forward to continuing my relationship with the students at NorthLight as it would be meaningful if we can provide some guidance and a bit of 'enlightenment' to them."
~ Bruno Polach, Manager, Deloitte Analytics
