Women in Leadership
Women in Leadership (WiL) is a board led initiative, which every service line in the firm is focusing on. It aims to retain, develop and grow the number of senior women in our firm.
This initiative has been launched in recognition that investment in women in leadership positions makes sense not just to further our diversity and talent agendas but also as a business imperative - as we set ourselves ambitious growth targets as a firm it is essential that we capitalise on the contribution of all of our people.
- Ensure that women have every opportunity to develop and progress in our business
- Improve the representation of women in senior roles in order to enrich and balance their contribution to the development of the firm
- Create and capture commercial advantage from recognising and deploying the different qualities women leaders bring.

The Deloitte Women’s network provides its members with access to role models and mentors within the firm. Through our network events, which are attended by a cross-section of all grades, we aim to enable our members to access role models. Members are also provided with the opportunity to:
- Network and build relationships with clients and targets through our client events.
- Build on development areas that are relevant to women in today’s business world through our internal events.

Deloitte aspires to be a firm where knowledge, insight and ideas flow freely within a perfectly-connected organisation. This improves our ability to collaborate and innovate - ultimately increasing our capacity to sell and to deliver as one.
Mentoring helps our people develop and progress quickly, do their best work - and fulfil their potential as fast as possible.
Women in Leadership
Our mentoring initiative connects senior women with senior practitioners who are committed to the goals of Women in Leadership. Our mentors ‘get’ our Women in Leadership objectives, so are particularly well suited to be mentors.
The Women’s network mentoring programme was set up to specifically link its members with someone who is one or two grades above the mentee, who can share their experiences in how they have moved their career forward
We’ve launched a maternity transition coaching programme for women who are about to go on maternity leave and men or women who are about to become primary adopters. The programme is available to our employees graded manger and above. We believe that through this programme, we can improve the communication and support for those who are going on maternity leave/adoption leave, and their reintegration to the work place. Participation is voluntary and coaching is provided to both the maternity/adoption leaver and their line manager by our internal, qualified, specialist coaches.
Deloitte is pleased to support the Government’s Think, Act, Report initiative, and to have been recognised for our commitment to promoting gender equality in the work place.
Think, Act, Report was launched by the Home Secretary in September 2011. It’s a simple step-by-step framework to help companies think systematically about gender equality in the workplace, on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion and pay. It encourages companies to share their progress and experiences on these, so that others can learn from them.
